Dies ist Chris Whitleys dreizehntes Album, eigens eingespielt für DownTown Records (später Morning Dew Records). Anfang Juni 2005 traf sich Chris für 4 Tage mit einer Gruppe Freunden in Catskill/New York um Songs für ein neues Album zu einzuspielen. Sie nannten sich “The Bastard Club”, und das Ergebnis war diese rein analoge Aufnahme. Leider verstarb Chris im November 2005, fünf Monate vor Erscheinen von “Reiter In” im Februar 2006.

This is Chris Whitley's thirteenth album. It was recorded for DownTown Records (later Morning Dew Records). For four days in early June of 2005 Chris got together in Catskill, New York with a group of friends. They called themselves “The Bastard Club” and the result of their gathering was this all-analog recording. Sadly, Chris died in November of 2005, five months before “Reiter In” was released in February of 2006.
